How does pricing work?
Your first month with LiveSaintly is free — full access, every feature, no card required to start.
After your trial, LiveSaintly continues as a small monthly membership. The exact price is shown in-app at the end of your trial so you can decide. There are no hidden fees, no surprise upgrades, and you can cancel anytime from Settings.
No ads. No data sold. The membership keeps LiveSaintly independent, so the focus stays on prayer instead of advertisers or investors.
Is it really Catholic?
Yes. LiveSaintly was built by a practicing Catholic for the daily Catholic faithful. Content is grounded in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), St. Thomas Aquinas, Pope St. Pius X, and the Roman Catechism. Saint biographies are sourced from authoritative Catholic references and reviewed before publication.
If you find any content that doesn't accord with Catholic teaching, email us and we'll correct it.
What's the difference between LiveSaintly and Hallow / Laudate / Magnificat?
The short version:
• Hallow is a paid subscription app ($10+/month). Beautiful, but paywalls the Rosary.
• Laudate is free but feels aged, doesn't treat the Tridentine Mass as first-class, and has limited community features.
• Magnificat is a paid monthly devotional (~$3-5/month). Beautiful editorial product, but not a daily-prayer app.
LiveSaintly starts with a generous free month so you can build a real prayer rhythm before deciding, prioritizes the Tridentine Latin Mass alongside the Roman Rite, has 200+ rich saint biographies, includes examinations of conscience by Ignatius/de Sales/Liguori, and includes community features (groups, prayer chains, shared novenas).
What languages is it available in?
English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, German, Filipino, Croatian, and Korean. The Mass readings and prayers are localized; the Tridentine Mass propers are always Latin + English.
Settings → Language.
How do I switch between the Roman Rite and the Tridentine Mass?
Open the Today's Readings widget on Home, or open the Mass tab. There's a rite toggle near the top — tap to switch between ROMAN and TRIDENTINE. Your choice is remembered.
Settings → Rite preference also lets you set a default.
How does the prayer streak work?
Your streak counts consecutive days you've checked off at least one prayer habit. The default daily habits are Morning Offering, Daily Readings, the Rosary, and the Evening Examen — but any habit counts.
If you miss a day, the streak resets to zero. Don't break the chain. (You can also add custom habits in Settings.)
How do I create a prayer group?
Open Community tab → tap the gold "+" button bottom-right → Create Group. Pick a name, intention, and add members by username. As admin, you can post messages, start a 24-hour prayer chain, or begin a shared novena that the whole group can check off together.
What's the Catholic Bucket List?
A curated list of 100 things every Catholic should do once: walk the Camino, attend a Tridentine Latin Mass, pray a 15-decade Rosary in one day, make a 33-day Marian consecration, visit the Vatican, read the Catechism cover to cover, and many more. Open the hamburger menu → Catholic Bucket List. Check items off as you complete them.
Can I use LiveSaintly offline?
Most spiritual content (Rosary, Examen, Bucket List, saint biographies for the current day) is cached and works offline once loaded. Daily Mass readings and community features need an internet connection. Future versions will expand offline support.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell user data, ever. We do not share prayer requests, messages, or any account information with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.
Read the full Privacy Policy.
Are my direct messages encrypted?
Direct messages and group messages are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encrypted in transit) and stored encrypted at rest on our database. They are NOT end-to-end encrypted in v1.3.3 — this is on the post-launch roadmap. We can technically see messages if compelled by law enforcement with a valid warrant. We never look at user messages otherwise.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, prayer history, group memberships, and direct messages within 30 days. You can also email us at besaintlyapp.com@besaintlyapp.com to request deletion.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password." Enter your email; we send a reset link from noreply@mail.besaintlyapp.com. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within 2 minutes.
What devices does LiveSaintly support?
iOS 15+ on iPhone (iPad version coming soon). Android 7+ (Nougat or newer). The app is built with React Native + Expo for cross-platform consistency.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email besaintlyapp.com@besaintlyapp.com with: what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, and your device model + OS version. The founder reads every bug report and usually replies within 24 hours.
Can I suggest a feature?
Please do. Email the same address as bug reports. Features get added to a public roadmap; we cluster similar requests and ship them in priority order.
How often are updates released?
Small polish updates (Over-The-Air): roughly every 1-2 weeks.
Major versions with new features: roughly every 6-8 weeks.
OTA updates apply automatically next time you open the app — no App Store update needed for JS-only changes.
